2009 SpinExpo Shanghai

This expo, we have very few visitors and more foreign companies...from talking with overseas guests, they all have very good expection on China economy, coz the huge population is firm big demand. Seems China is the most effective medicine to the gloomy economy now.
I see the big difference between Chinese mills and foreign participants. There are many new kinds of yarns from China mills, such as bamboo yarn, milk yarn, soybead yarn, wool blended yarn, rayon yarn etc and some are very special and new to market. While foreign mills only bring cotton yarn, of course the yarns are of top quality as their catalogues say.
I talked with some foreign mills, and noted the demand in EU is quite small,especially no demand for new differential yarn of bamboo/soybean etc. Speorry Swiss mainly produce fine cotton yarn. I read a piece of news saying they are pioneer on developing soybean yarn etc, but Tomaso said the soybean yarn did not sell good, so they drop it. And they do not produce bamboo yarn, coz no demand. In fact the demand on Yarn is quite small in EU. So they are looking into China/Asia market.
However EU people like bamboo textiles, Tomaso bought samples of Tanboocel during PV expo in France this month. He bought underwear and bath towel for self and wife,they like it very much. I think maybe we can have a chain store for bamboo textiles in EU, at least the rich people prefer rich textiles.
At present, 60% of textiles we use are from crude oil, which is only available for tens of years.Polyester, nylon, spandex,pp,acrylic etc are not available in 22th century...Viscose are from trees, which need at least 10years, and we are short of trees now. So Bamboo is the best choice, not only for 2years grow-up, but for its unbelievable advantages. We have a long way to go...Let us see!
